Who Doesn’t Love A Summer Bath?

Here is a firey-orange Bullock’s (Northern) Oriole male who recently took a bath in my yard pond.

Birds have a hard time resisting running, splashing water.

He’s flapping and splashing.

Ducking and dunking head and wings.

Time to dry off and preen!

  1. It is so much fun to watch them take a bath. Great shots. I put up an Oriole feeder this year and it has been great seeing them come to this feeder .
